Your resident Apple Chief PR Guru brings good news.

Good idea if you don't want a contract and don't want to shell out £600 for a phone.

Nice :happy2:
I was only looking at the PAYG and eBay prices yesterday.
-
My son phoned up about this i think he said 84.00 for the six months.
-
Nice.
**thinking is the 4g worth the money over my 3g hmmmm :innocent:**

Quite tempting this rather than a huge lump sum in one hit.

All they need to do now is release the white one!!!!!!
Anyone know when its due?
-
Should be out by Xmas according to my Uncle Steve
-
what about the 4s?
-
Is this because they're not selling well? So they think the high price could be an issue and thus offering a payment plan.
-
Seems a great idea and a good route to a sim free handset.
As for not selling, there was a quite long que outside the Southampton store yesterday when I passed so it can't be all bad.
Ian do as you're told and be done with it!!

I have just spoken to a nice young lady while she took my order.
There are some downsides to this though. 3 week wait for the phone + 2 week wait while they setup the finance.
I shall see how I get on but might have to call and threaten to cancel if it looks like actually taking that long. :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

....it turns out that Apple had cocked up the spelling of my surname so no email this is despite me spelling it out to the woman at the time as this has happened prevously.
Now after my 4th phone call to them this morning I receive an email from Apple confirming my details, they are all spelt incorrectly and they have also passed on the wrong spelling to Barclays the oenwers of the finance agreement.
At this point I canceled my order.
Sorry Apple your Customer Service people are incompetent and so you don't deserve my money. Simples!

Mongs.
I've not read it but is it an online only offer or can you do it in store?

Dunno. Next time you are having pillow talk with Steve Jobs tell him his people are crap.
-
I've already passed on your comments :P
-
Thats a shame Ian.
If you can do it instore then I'd say give Southampton a try, they have been nothing short of excellent everytime I've been there.
Alternatively send them an email, I am pretty sure they will respond and may well be in your favour. So far as I can see CS is one of the things they try hardest to achieve.
-
Oh I have sent them an email
-
You can do it in store which cuts the three week shipping time but you still have to wait two weeks for the checks obviously. :happy2:
-
You had word back yet tiger?
-
No mate and if I'm honest I probably don't expect to.
The flip side to this is that in anticipation of my iPhone 4 arriving I rang o2 last week and ordered a micro SIM.
A letter arrived from o2 this morning but unfortunately it contained a normal size SIM. I rang o2 and spoke to some dippy Doris that said the order had been for a micro SIM. Oh well I said it's no longer needed as the phone is cancelled.
I'm guessing someone is trying to tell me something and that's not to get an iPhone 4.
Until I can be @rsed to deal with these 2 crap companies I shall stick with what I have. :angry015:
