Got the headunit which has sat nav etc. I was wondering how easy are these to update in terms of,
1) Blue tooth
2) DVD
3) Rear Screens
4) Ipod etc.
5) steering controls
or is it just easier to replace the unit to get everything? something like this? DNX520VBT

1) Blue tooth need a kit such as Kufatec (spell) or the Skoda one.
2) DVD some have the DVD reset so you can watch it whilst in motion otherwise only watchable when stopped, MORTYTDI will confirm this though
3) Rear Screens sorry no idea on this bit
4) Ipod etc. MDI interface, either in the Armrest or in the glove box, some have this as an option ready to plug and play already installed in the arm rest.
5) steering controls Multi Function Steering wheel needed and simple reprogramme of the software
HTH. :happy2:

MORTYTDI < He has one of these fully up and running I guess? with the works? Not sure if he has the full set up, but he's the man (along with other helpful guys on here) that can, he can also supply the units as well.

You'll probably get it cheaper through the sales and wants on here and if you live with reasobale distance one of the forumites on here will help you fit it for some petrol money or beer chits... :drinking:

OOooo and are there two types of RNS510 or more? MFD2 and MFD3 < What the difference? MFD2 has lots of buttons each side of the screen and is not touch screen and the MDF3 has less buttons (4 each side) of the screen plus chrome finished control knobs and a touch screen It's also the dog's danglies and finishes the cabin off a treat. :happy2:

Excellent - can someone post me a pic of the MFD2 and 3 so I know?
It's OK, my golf will be collected in next 5-7days. Know it has one, not sure which one. I'm hoping it's the touch screen dogs dangly one

Go to Google, click on images, type in mfd2 and search. Then type in mfd3 and search.

I'll be up for this if there is any kind of deal we can do to buy/fit a few at the same time...

I doubt the bluetooth will be any thing to shout about, I do the LED C RNS510 for £600 but the BT is like £300 but fully intergrates with the headunit.
