nice picking this up on way home!! :jumpmove:
jambon is my ps3 username if you up for the odd race :happy2:
-
i must buy a ps3 console now just to play that game
-
Does this mean you're not going to watch the real thing this weekend?
-
Nope I will be pausing to watch the F1 Prac/Qual & Race :happy2:
Also to Eat,Sleep and attend to the wife
-
Maybe I need to get into it but I'm not enjoying it that much at the moment.
-
So is the game any good?
SWMBO was asking if I wanted it! :pomppomp:
-
Just picked it up too :driver:
-
Well having had a quick go on it I'm 2.452 seconds slower a lap than Hamilton after Prac 1 (I'm going for full race weekends) around Bahrain :driver:
I think it's brilliant. I'm using the drivers view and it makes you appreciate how hard driving an F1 car must be for real.
-
Can you play multiplayer online?
May have to pick it up on my way out later
-
What a disapointment
Graphics are worse then the 2008 version.
No podiums or TV comms.
hmmmm..
Undecided at this early stage :sad1:
-
Think ill give this a miss, gt5 will be out soon (well hopefully :rolleye:) and might get a bit boring after a weekends play.

-
right I'm going to the shops now, is it good?????
Cheers
Ryan
-
just rent it from blockbusters  thats all i have done
-
In the short go I've had on it I think it is very good and the best F1 game I've played (and I've played them all on playstation)
The graphics are awesome (well they are on my TV anyway).
I've started a career so only done one race as I'm doing it where I get all 3 Prac, Qual and 100% race length.
I came 5th in my First race which ain't bad considering I'm with Virgin. :pomppomp:
-
No its no gt5 as I imagine it to be.
Monaco is almost impossible.
EBay methinks.
Why its still hot.
-
I just hope GT5 lives up to everyone's expectations :drinking:
-
Graphically its very jerky especially on replays.
2008 is more graphically more realistic, although car physics are more of a real feel in this version
Carl.
I have a samsung LED 46", nothing wrong with my telly.
Rain looks very real indeed, and droplets of water on your visor and camera are almost life like.
Career mode is alot more immense and challenging even on Novice setting.
Worth renting first as Matt said.
-
Cheers guys, shops were sold out, think I'm gonna give both f1 and halo a rent. I only stay gripped for a couple of days anyway!
-
Halo is pretty cool. :happy2:

I haven't noticed any jerkiness on mine. But I have only done one race so far.

Steve,
Are you playing on X-Box or PS3 and are you playing through HDMI or component?
I'm not doubting what your saying but I don't have the graphics problems you have so just trying to think why.
Also is your TV setup correctly for games? Reason I ask is my TV is Sony and when I switch on the PS3 it automatically optimises the TV settings for Gaming.

I don't play online games mate :P
Games get really boring just playing career mode dude. Imagine MW2 with no online play :indifferent:.
So you dont fancy a mass forum gp then Carl?

360 carl, games speed is fine, no juddering, but replays with lots of cars especially start of the GP, it struggles with slow down.
Ive been moved out to my garage Tv which is a Panasonic 42" :ashamed: :ashamed:(hogging them main tv too much so got booted out there ), which may be the problem. Its Hdmi aswell, but not as good a spec as my main tv.

The prices are mental on eBay I am getting rid of mine.
Not impressed at all.
Should have bought Red Dead Redemption which is what I went on there for.
Anybody interested and I won't eBay.
-
The graphics are amazing for me, the gameplay is very difficult though. I can agree with Steve a little on the jerkiness, mind tends to do it (360).
-
Im loving it so far, graphics are awesome on ps3 1080p tv, agree with it been a bit tough to handle but im slowly getting to grips with it :happy2:
Im playing it using the logitech g25 steering wheel & pedals which are again great with force feedback etc and makes it very involving, its all about getting the braking points spot on and then taking a smooth corner, jenson style!
If you are finding it hard to handle try changing the car set up to increased downforce, you wont go as fast but it makes the slow corners a lot easier!
Only gripe is all the bloody penalties... Taking out vettel in practice landed me with a 5 place grid drop :fighting:
Also the computer drivers dont move out your way when your on a hot lap in qualifying, but i seem to get penalties for blocking them..
Looking forward to a on-line gp

^^^^^^ I got disqualified for taking Alonso out the race at Australia.

Well played :congrats:
Lets hope the same happens in singapore
-
:signLOL: :congrats:
Good work Carl.
I'm watching big chin as we speak. Unfortunately he's better than in your game :fighting:
-
I was hoping he would crash :fighting:
Still the race though.
-
I picked it up on friday, it's very realistic handling wise. I also agree that monaco is rock hard!!!. but i definatly think a forum gp is on the cards :happy2:
-
Got this on Xbox, turned up Saturday which was cool as i wasnt expecting it until this week.
So far, not played it much, but feels hard to drive without all the assists turned on but then its too easy.
Will get some more track time in this week and get a better idea of what its like, a forum GP could be cool tho!
-
Just popped in Asda and couldn't resist getting it on ps3. I hope it's good ;)
