And also on what to do to the clumsy tw@t who's just dinged the rub strip on our car. :fighting:
Been into vw and bought a touch up set which comes with colour and lacquer but having never done one before I need some tips as to how to do this so that it doesn't notice too much.

Clean the area down. Use cocktail sticks. Apply thinly one layer at a time. Allow to fully dry before next layer. Build up until slightly above surrounding area. Flatten down with high grade sandpaper eg 3000 grit. Machine polish off. Won't be perfect but depends on how severe it is.

I used a pin on mine but I wouldn't recommend polishing for at least a week as I took the paint chip repair right out.

to be honest I don't rate the touch up's you can get from the dealers
I found these guy and used them for a few repairs on my own motor and a couple of mates cars
the paint comes ready mixed with the lacquer
