Had a play with one when i was working abroad and personally i absolutely love them, cant explain why but i'd have an R-Line model any day, i think they look great and they can come with a very decent spec as well!
-
Yup, went to the International launch and have driven a few since and the wife has one coming in November as her next company car. What do you need to know?
-
My boss runs an R line Tiguan, isnt it based on the golf
-
Just wondered what people thought of them yay or nay? Wife really likes look of them just worried she won't like as much as disco
-
i like them big time with sports pack or what ever its called  in white with the little body kit vw do for them and some nice wheels they look very cool
-
R Line one is gorgeous :congrats: , shame I cant afford one (... for the wife :signLOL:)
plus get the 14 TSI and its an easy remap
-
Lovely looking cars :happy2:
-
You need the 2.0 diesel version though, i have driven both and diesel was miles better. :happy2:

Yeh VW did a limited run on these. They had he R-Line pack but the escapade front end so hey looked a bit odd. Oh and they all had puppy poo leather interiors! :chicken:
-
Would be 2.0tdi or golf estate or a4 avant she can't make up her mind
-
It would be the 2.0TDi Match Bluemotion for me!
You get plenty of kit and low running costs.
-
I've been looking at these to replace the Touran. R line model looks superb and you get the extra kit, bigger wheels etc.
You can get the 2.0TSI too. Remember on the later one's you can also get 2WD so make sure you check the spec as to what your looking at.
-
I would get this one lol!

What's the interior space like in comparison to a Golf?

Boots not much better but the cabin space is fantastic. Lots more rear legroom and obviously plenty of headroom so makes the cabin feel really light and airy! :happy2:

r-line one may look great, but comfy it aint!! i would go for a match any day of the week. spec is better, but it doesn;t have the body kit and wheels. What ever you do, do not buy a petrol one. you wont be able to give it away in 3 years time when you are looking to change. the 2.0 tdi is a CR engine, and really suits the car, the 140 is ok, and 170 is too much extra money for not enough extra grunt. Run through the specs and get one built for you. the towbar is only £500 and while you may not want it, it will really make it desireable on the used car market, it folds away and is really neat. Just so you knwo a factory order on these has an average lead time of 4 months for a manual one a 6 months plus for a DSG. Good luck with whatever you decide.
-
140 + Remap = 170+ but for 140 road tax
-
Boot is about 1/3rd smaller in size compared to the golf.
Not really a family bus if you have to carry a pushchair plus other bits.

If wife is used to a Disco3 the hard ride on the Tiguan will be a massive shock! I currently drive a disco3 and have driven the Tiguan and they are VERY different vehicles!
Tiguan is the most car like 4x4 I have driven.
Would find it so hard going back to a car after my silky smooth Disco3 air ride!especially on the Fen roads I drive on daily!
