V6 baby  its such a clean car and the service history and all the sales brochures with it :rolleye: its a great car and drives so nice
-
Great car :happy2:
Old cars have great modding potential. No complex electronics to worry about...

Was suprised at first it wasnt French but then i remembered all french cars of this age are dead :signLOL:

Very nice J :happy2:

Well tasty, I like that
Does it have Quattro?

I had the 2.8v6 one of these years back.
i bought on a whim mostly because the missus told me i wasnt allowed. Loved the look of the car, but that handling OMG. i took it around Oschersleben motorsport arena which is quite a technical track and it was horrendous.
It also cost me an arm and a leg in maintenance. I bought it on an M plate with full audi service history and 80k miles for£1500. boxes of receipts and immaculate inside and out.
however iirc i had to replace one top mount, an engine mount a shock absorber, a fair few bushes, the cam belt something to do with the gear box, service it and replace the tyres. I also had a small blow in a the downpipe which was over 900 euro from an audi dealership as independants couldnt get hold of one.
So i sold it in the end having spent more in one year on repairs and maintenance than i did on the car in the first place. Never again will i buy a car thats 12 years old again. Never considered that was about the age that all the bushes etc start to give in
I would love to get the S2 though

I bought a mk2 16V around 16months ago, sold it last week for a few quid more than I paid. I probably spend max £1k throughout the time on replacing worn bits - bushes, suspension etc but what a great car to run around it depreciation free.

That's what it is a run about, always have one, last one was mk3 gti.I really like this though, sounds great, handling is pap but its not for track so not bothered on road. Its cool purple with cream leather! What more does a man need,

Lovely motor! :happy2:

Very nice.
I love old motors too. Its why i also have as well as the 2 golfs a daily for winter use, a carrying duty one, and a few old classic cars.

<3 old cars. Apart from the Cayman S (either current model or previous), I can't think of a single modern car I'd like to own (barring my own GTI! :rolleye: )
