Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade the RCD300 to either a RCD510 or a RNS510...
Not really clued up on ICE, so for me to upgrade to the above, am I right in thinking I would need a CANBUS adapter to avoid battery drainage?
Would anything else be needed?
Any help would be great guys

For an RCD-510 you will need a new CANBUS gateway.
For RNS-510 if you chose an early version of firmware then you will have no battery drain issues, otherwise again it's a CANBUS gateway upgrade.
You should budget around £75 for a newer can gateway.

Thanks alot for that Steve, can I be a cheeky so-an-so and ask you to point me in the way of a link for the above said CANBUS gateway? :embarrassed:

^^^ A best offer of around £75-£80 normally get them from car systems.
You also need to find someone with VCDS to recode the new gateway to the car :happy2:
