Title: Too cheap for an ED30??
Post by: country boy on September 29, 2010, 08:47:02 pm
Still in the process of selling my TT to get an ED30 and came across one on Autotrader which almost seems too good to be true! Black,3 door,manual,xenons,45k,2 previous owners, full s/h,got the optional black Monza's which the European ones came with, looks clean in the pics and the price for all of this is £12.5k. Its a private car and all the pics are taken in a public car park not at the sellers house. What do you think, sound a bit iffy to you?

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201038368786960/sort/priceasc/usedcars/fuel-type/petrol/quantity-of-doors/3/transmission/manual/price-to/13000/body-type/hatchback/price-from/12000/model/golf/make/volkswagen/page/2/radius/100/postcode/mk179hs?logcode=p

Worked it out now  :happy2: It says DSG in the advert but the pics show it as a manual.

Looks like an import to me as it has manual a/c and should have dual zone climate.

Mmmm thats what i thought! Theres just something that dont seem right about it,although it says private seller the way its worded is more like a trader.

Whether the spec is crap or not it's still a lot of car for the monies!  :happy2:

Don't overlook it, but make sure you get the full picture from the seller before you go and view.

got to be honest, i would not go for this one.  there are too many things that are questionable that you can see.  there are bound to be things that you can't see that are not right either.  its a questionable car.  i would personally spend a little more and get a UK car, or at least one where things added up...

It's poverty spec. The headlights look like those "xenon-look" headlamps that Hella do and probably had a HID kit.

Ask VW to run the plate through their computer.
