Hi guys, after following the guide on here posted by Garth I replaced the rear badge, as the one which came on the car had the white worm :(
Decided to go down the "removed the mechanism and stick the MK4 badge on" route lol
The hardest part was removing the rear boot card (cut fingers everywhere)
Primed, Painted and Lacquered....
Only thing is the primer bubbled up abit, so the finish isnt as smooth as I would have hoped, but it looks ok from a pace or two away lol
The results.

Looks great, mine needs sorting soon
Does anyone have any pics with the mk6 badge and the approx cost?
Many thanks
Ryan

I can tell you its £90 :surprised:
I fitted one and to be honest IMO it looks far better than the standard mk5 one or the mk4 mod above.
Just my opinion.

Fitted the whole new MK6 boot lock to my MK5, easy... hard bit is getting the interior card back on...
you can pick up a MK6 lock from the online breakers from £25/30....

Looking good mate!
As above i've bought a MK6 Golf badge from eBay, cost me £24! I will be replacing it this weekend, along with the rear wiper motor, and replacing the rear struts for some 'boot popping' action! :)

hard bit was the interior card, only advice I can give is start by clipping it back in where the internal handles are first. Seemed easier that way for some reason... be prepared to lose a clip or two as well :happy2:

sorry to be daft but what is the difference with the mk5 and mk6 badge?
Thanks

MK5 sits flush were the MK6 is slightly raised
