Whilst under my car the other day I noticed the onset of surface rust on the cat and midpipe. Having not got a stainless exhaust I was thinking of painting it to protect from the winter salt.
The paint I guess would have to be high temperature and preferably from a tin rather than an aerosol. I used to paint motorbike downpipes with bbq paint :chicken:
Not interested in a Miltek right now so want to look after what I already have.
What do you think?

I think you wont achieve much by painting the outside ,iirc they rot from the inside out .
