Title: Winter tyres & wheel refurb
Post by: sadBastad on October 05, 2010, 07:32:20 am
Having bought RedRobin's 17" Monzas (Robin, glad that you were able to add to the lake fortifications with a bit of Somerset quarrying!) I now want to fit some Winter tyres. Having done some searching, I can see that the main recommendation is for Vredestein Wintrac Extreme 4. But can anyone advise which is the best size of tyre, if I want a bias towards Winter traction - I seem to be coming up with 205/50 R17 93H? Anyone got any better ideas ?

In addition, fitting the 17"s will give me the opportunity to refurb the standard 18s; Pristine Wheels at Milton Keynes is fairly near me - are they the most highly regarded in the area?

Thanks in advance!

Just get the standard tyre size mate; 225/45r17. Vredestein make really good winter tyres as well.
