Title: Connecting 6cd to mfd2
Post by: Mark_eire on October 09, 2010, 10:55:28 pm
I bought a 6cd changer, same one as was in the armrest in my last gti, I have an octavia vRS now,
Can anyone tell me which cable I need to connect the 2 together??
There is a wire about 6 inches coming out of the cd changer with a 12 pin socket on it, so presumably I need this on one end of the connector cable, but what connector goes into the mfd2?
I've found a few on ebay but I'm not sure if it's the correct one.
Thanks and sorry if this is confusing!! lol

It's the light blue plug in the following picture.

Bizarrely enough I have a CD Changer in my garage as I removed it when I bought my Phatbox.

Thanks for that, So I presume this is the wrong cable even though it says it's for mfd2-cd changer

That looks promising. Been a while since I owned my Octy so I can't remember exactly.  :ashamed:

The blue connector on the ebay link looks different to the blue one in the picture you showed me!

I think you are right. The one shown could be an Audi cable.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can get the correct cable?

I am pretty sure your dealer can supply the right cable but I guess the question then is price.  :chicken:

Yeah! lol
Although without the correct part no. they'll probably make a balls of it, they don't like the hassle of having to research part no's themselves!!
I've found this part no after a lot of searching, looks to me like the correct one  1T0 051 592
