Post by: ads on October 10, 2010, 03:09:38 pm
I've picked up a nasty scuff on the lower part of my rear bumper, the black plastic part. Is there anyway this can be repaired atall or is it best to get a new one?

It's a us spec bumper which is why I want ro repair it you see, cheers

Unless you are going to smooth & paint it the body colour then sorry mate new one needed. The textured finish is from the mould so i dout any body shop could re-produce it,mine got hit in a car park & needed a new lower section.

UK lower section is about £45, US one prob a bit more, I would make the most of it and have it coded.

A decent body shop can re-texture plastics - just depends on how bad the damage is.  Finger your Yello Pages - look for the 'speciality ads' for those who carry out plastic repairs.
