yep there the ones!
i looked on google at an offset guide and it says mk5 golfs are 40 - 45
and the merc wheels are only 31 & 35
so it confused me coz i seen a picture of a mk5 golf with them wheels on? "/
anything is possible.
Im sure someone will be along with a yes or no answer shortly.
have a search too as someone may have asked or posted about these wheels previously

That's because they will either had had the arches rolled or running very stretched tyres with lots of camber.
-
We need to know the width of the wheel as well before saying, they are going to have to be 7.5j maximum to be honest or you will be running some pokkadge. :driver:
-
there 9j wide i think :L
They wont fit then bud. they would be sticking out of the arch by miles.
-
Go for it then. Its your car, it's always best to go with your own choices. :happy2:
-
The bolts should be fine, though you will probably need to buy longer ones. And if the offset is 31 and the width 9j then they will stick out 47 and 1/2 mil further than a monza. So lets call it 2 inches. :rolleye: And you may need spacers on a 9j wheel to stop the inside of the wheel catching the shock and liner on lock. Though i am not certain on this. :happy2:

If the wheels are going to stick out 2" extra that makes up your extra rim width so it should be furtherca way from your shocks than a monza so you won't need spacers just your arches rolled and mega camber, check out the American forums I'm sure I've seen those but polished on a mk5 before I had no idea they were that wide though !

My Ccw corsairs are 18x8 et 36 and they poke out and scrub constantly. You really will struggle to get these to work in my opinion. I'm sure there are two different wheels in this style but they have different figments ie I'm sure ones around et45
