Have a read here Joe. Doesn't look promising. :sad1:

They should be back up and running soon. Slightly new name, new address and new phone number. Nigel is no longer with them either. Great exhausts, just a nightmare to deal with.

This is what BDM Alex wrote the other day on his thread,
Quote.
"If anyone is wondering about Blueflame at the moment, they have closed the business and are reopening soon as 'Tube Technologies' but keeing the Blueflame name too. Hopefully they will get their act together too! "
Not sure how much he knows, but I am sure he will comment later. :happy2:

So does this mean that the new company will honour any outstanding orders with the old company?

They have said they will sort out all old orders. The name is Blueflame Performance Exhausts Ltd, not Tube Technologies as I quoted in my thread. They lied!!!!

Tough climate out there, and hardly surprising with the way things are right now.
Try googling "Companies House", been told thats a why of finding out whether theyve gone under.

I know that they lost a lot of their dealers ( us included) due to letting them down and oromising things that they simply couldnt deliver. We were also sick of the constant slagging off of other exhaust manufacturers EVERY time we spoke to them, we are still waiting for a replacement system (7 months ang counting) for a Clio that fell to bits just weeks after fitting, doubt we will ever see it now.

I read this on a build thread:

Glad I didn't get one now and probably won't!
I hear Milltek have their problems with quality though which is kinda putting me off and going off topic!
-
'Failure'!
Sorry I only saw page 2 and thought it was the first post!
I am looking at pipewerx at the moment.
I will let everyone know how I get on.

i was also looking at a blue flame exhaust a few weeks ago but am glad i never went down that route..
-
.
Apparently this isn't the first time Blueflame have been needing to 're-invent' themselves. IIRC, once upon a time they offered themselves for sale to Milltek but were turned down. Hadn't they recently done a deal with Forge, or is that only in the U S of A?
Like many companies which have been trading for many decades, inevitably Milltek have had their quality issues on some cars (not all) but much of such problems are in the past. As most of us here who personally know Phil Millington already know, he is constantly very keen to know about problems and to solve them both in the short and long term.
-
After selling and fitting endless amounts of milltek products, i am yet to experience any quality issues, and if i ever do i am 100% confident they would have the matter sorted straight away.
Lets hope the changes at BF will improve things there,

Had a few blueflame systems in the past and had them fitted on site and the guys have been great every time and I would 100% get another system from them

I hear this is the case and their customer service is second to none.
It's a shame about blueflame as I understand they were well regarded.
It also let's milltek have a monopoly on the market which is not a good thing as competition breeds improvement.

Always get a funny feeling about companies which stop trading then re-appear - ok, not sure how this particular business has handled it but could be seen as a 'cop out' to clear its history, financials etc...
-
I ordered a decat last week from blueflame, i was told there orders will be 5 weeks as they are moving to a new factory and changing there name !
-
Does anybody know anybody from Blueflame for a statement?
Like I said it looks like Pipewerx is going to be Millteks oppo if things don't improve.

Forge USA were ...still are the exclusive distributor for Blue Flame exhausts in the USA ... theyquality and fit of the systems are
simply some of the best in the industry ... they also deliver the power gains that they promise ... however as things stand Forge USA are rather up in the air like the rest of the dealers ... I am sure BF will immerge again and hopefully without any of the issues that they had before ... lets see how it plays out ...
-
Probably just a small dip under the radar to rid the company of a load of debt which will no doubt hurt those that are owed the money.
I'd expect to see the company resurrected under a different, but similar name sometime soon.
-
BluFlame are apparently reopening soon as "TUBE TECHNOLOGIES" according to BDMAlex in this thread

DC performance phoned me today (Blueflames main dealer) offering me a miltek as they couldnt get the parts from blueflame anymore !
anyway, ordered a full miltek as they gave me a good deal. Im going to try and mate the BF cat back to the milly DP and if that doesnt work ill be selling up my Blueflame Cat Back. Its a shame because the BF is a brilliant system, even star who are a miltek distributer commented on how good the fit and easy to work with the BF was
