Title: what 19s for under £800 with tyres
Post by: johnston on October 14, 2010, 08:14:01 pm: i will be pickin up my mkv gti tomorow. its in steel grey. been lookin for a set of 19" rims can anyone recomend any with tyres for £800ish? pics/links if possible. thanks :happy2:

Post by: monte on October 14, 2010, 10:37:53 pm: Well you could just buy some 19" wheels and then buy my Almost new Kuhmo Ecsta KU31 tyres cheap. They have got near enough 8mm tread (like brand new tyres), but to cover my back I will say they have 7.5mm. :happy2:

Decent second hand tyres might actully be a better idea

Love the look of the 19" but probably wont like the ride comfort :signLOL:

I had 19" on my last car E46 Bmw Convertible, looked great but tended to tramline slightly, also had to watch out for potholes a lot more :signLOL:

Post by: johnston on October 17, 2010, 09:15:05 pm: i just think 19"s fill the arches better, and i only plan on lowering 30-40mm so hoping it wil sit perfect on 19"s with that drop. my local alloy shop has the s-line split rim replicas, hoping i can get a set of them with falken 452s for £800ish. but unsure weather i should go for a darker alloy on the steel gey car??

his black finichis were 19s i think
i swapped from 19s to 18s cos the ride was harsh dude!!!
