I played GT3 to death and completed it. GT4 just didn't float my boat and I have subsequently transferred my allegiance to Microsoft.
If I had a PS3 I would be mighty pi55ed off that I am still waiting for their flagship launch title. As Pablos said it had better be worth the wait. :popcornsoda:

I am not surprised that it has been delayed. It also wouldn't surprise me if you went to the counter, when they do actually release it, bought it then had to hand it straight back in a recall :laugh:

Apart from the ability to play games, use as Internet access, play Full HD and 3D Blu-Ray movies. But yeah otherwise it's useless :wink:

im glad they are not rushing it out like f1 2010 as that is full of annoying bugs which puts you off playing it after a while, but to take as long as it has done is just a joke
as for the consoles, i own both and much prefer the ps3, i went on holiday to mexico recently and took my pspgo, with wifi in the hotel I could switch on my ps3 at home in london and then watch uk tv on my psp - didn't want to miss jake and the team at monza :signLOL:
xbox is just a bit limited imho and if it wasnt for halo and forza i would have got rid of it

I have both XBox360 and PS3 and only ever play on the Xbox really. The PS3 gets used for DVDs in the bedroom but then the DVD player could play that role better. The PS3 is too noisy to be used as a dedicated movie machine and it's just not as good or asy to use as the Xbox for games so I'm left wondering why I still have it!
And why does it take 15 mins to do any update on the PS3 but only a few seconds on the Xbox?????

How often do you update the XBOX though? Serious question as i have never owned one.
If yours is noisy i'd take it back as i know there were a few issues with fans a while back but mine is not intrusive at all.

The PS3 really isn't really very loved these days. I have one of the new slims and it makes a fantastic blu ray player, I love uncharted 2 but I still think my xbox is a much better gaming machine. Better quality controller, a better range of games and everyone seems to have a 360 and be online. My friends list on the xbox is 56 people, my ps3 has 1 :confused: It also doesn't need a 15 minute update everytime i turn it on?? What is so wrong sony that there are so many updates??
I'm not bothered by gt5, the prologue version looked great but was awful, no fun at all.
I'll buy uncharted 3 when it comes along but I'm pretty sure there won't be another game in the next 18 months that i'll buy on the ps3

For me its a media hub.
500gb drive and filled it with all my dvds converted with handbrake.
Then put them in the loft.
Superb.
PlayTV is cool too.
I had an Xbox 360, nothing wrong with it, but the brick which you have to find a home for and the vacuum cleaner noise when its playing a game!
If you own or have owned you will know what I am talking about.
I presumed wrongly with the release of the new one they would have got rid of the brick but no.

Old 360 fookin noisy and one of the reasons you couldn't use it for playing DVD's or HD-DVD's.
New 360 is so quite you can hear ants w4nk. :wink:

We all have ps3's from 4 years ago when they promised us the game. Then realised it wasnt going to happen so bought Xbox's for proper driving games

I'm well into NFS Shift.
Some people don't like it but its alright.
Forza was good when I had mine.
But no Blu Ray so I jumped ship.
I see no retort about the brick.
It's funny they shrunk the PS 3 and still kept the PS internal.

PS3 - more of an entertainment machine. Belongs in the living room as it does pretty much everything.
360 - more of a bedroom console. A mre serious gamers console. Much larger game library and better online.
Both consoles have their pros and cons. Just get the one that suits your uses best.

I've had just about every games console/machine going.....all the way back to the Atari cassette ones (yes I am that old!! :P) and have had a PS3 (gave it to my nephew) as I got into some decent driving games on the XBOX 360.
Delaying such a high profile game when it has had an official launch date given is unforgiveable. For the game to be slated as being up for release "around Christmas" makes me think 2010 or 2011? I've seen footage of the game and although it looks good, it isn't anything special over Forza. Maybe 3D will give people a hard -on for it, but I'll probably have got porn in 3D touchscreen before GT5 is actually released :P

I like my xbox, and unlike seemingly alot of people on here I had the foresight to not buy a PS3 until GT5 is actually released. Has the past history of polyphony not taught you guys anything :grin:
