Title: Anti Hijack / Auto lock enabled but...
Post by: AnSGTI on October 21, 2010, 11:13:55 am
I had a VW specialist enable anti hijack for me this morning - he used VCDS and went into the long coding on the instrument cluster (I think) and checked all the bytes until he found one that said something like 'doors lock after 15kph...'.

Anyway when I stop the car and take my key out of the ignition the doors remain locked and I have to give the handle two pulls (unlock & exit) - I expected as soon as  Iremoved the key the car would automatically unlock.

Did he miss something or change the wrong bit in the long coding?

Thanks in advance

there is another setting to activate the unlock when key is removed. cant remember the where but seem to remember its on the same page in the long coding helper.

Auto-Unlock (unlock after removing key from ignition)

^^As Richn83 said... you need that ticking as well!

I need to get this turned off. It breaks me every time I stop when the mrs gets out the car and has to double open.
