From what I hear they were not that great in the end.  There are some good vids around of the cars on track.

I suppose an Ariel Atom isn't too good in the rain, or if you don't like eating wasps - but by fook, they go well!

Along with Grinnal cars 4 wheeled version using the VAG engine too  :smiley:

there fun to drive, i would rather have one over a Atom!

BTW, what ECUs do those industrial VW engines run?

With bolt on turbo to the kit thats already on there anything up to 450bhp (with rods pistons and valves of course) then with a little more engine work anything up to 700bhp...  :happy2:

ECU side the Grinnal runs an OBR (Ole Ball Racing) ECU mapped by Mahle, Kev has had a spate of mapping some of the bigger turbo Grinnals at the min tho to go out to America  :smiley:

That is the weight of the engine!!! :grin:  Read the PDF document from their website - I think the total car was around 600kg.
