Title: Would GTI side skirts fit my Jetta?
Post by: Gordy on October 27, 2010, 04:33:51 pm
Hi

I have a mk5 57 plate Jetta and was wondering if mk5 Golf GTI side skirts would fit straight on - 5 door ofcourse.

I believe the Jetta has almost the same wheelbase etc as the Jetta but if anyone could help that would be great!

Thanks
Gordy

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say yes.  The GTI and the Jetta are fundamentally identical from the C pillar forward.

A guy who came by last week who had a TDI with a pair fitted.
He said that even without the part attached to the chassis that it will stick. There are screws under the car, and ones in the wheel arches, and once you put them on then remove the sticky backing and let them attach, had no problems since.

Thanks for the help.

So as the chassis part did not fit then are they not a straight fit but still a good fit?

Cheers

OOps, big misread by me, He had a Golf TDi, not a Jetta, so not sure if they would fit on them, Give it a go, can always sell them on if they don't fit.

The outer sill is identical on both the Golf and the Jetta
