Title: Costco Michelin tyres deal is on again
Post by: SteveP on October 28, 2010, 09:36:38 pm
Just a heads up, the Costco deal for 20% off 4 Michelin tyres is starting again on Monday until 21/11. :happy2:

Last time I checked they had 225/40/18's for £140 a corner before discount (fully fitted).

Thats not far off what I usually pay each for just a pair of 235s.

Why don't you tell us where you get them then as I haven't seen PS3's at £70 a corner before.

Huh - re-read my post.  I pay 'each' for a pair!

OK, plain english time - when I buy just two tyres, I only pay around £140 each for them.  :P

Ok, simple English time, Costco offer makes them cheaper, so what's the point of your post  :stupid:

The point of my post is that I do NOT need to buy a set of 4 to get those kind of prices - just an axle set.

I just had a look at some Winter Michelins and I reckon they even with discount they would be scary money.  :scared:

What IS your problem?

You are my problem...

This website runs perfectly well on its own without your input for the vast majority of the year. Then you turn up like a social hand--grenade trolling 12 & 18 month old threads for no other reason than to inflate your pathetic ego.

I only really have one rule TT and that is I will only write something that I would say to their face. Can you say the same?

Anyone availing themselves of this offer please note ......

Costco fitters are animals.

1. Inspect your alloys before.
2. Take pics if necessary
3. Get the supervisor to come inspect each wheel
4. Only then sign their forms to allow the work to proceed.

Also when I got mine done all 4 pressures were different and wrong and two even had the wrong valve caps.

If you take precautions and watch for their mistakes you will save money, hassle and disappointment.

Can anyone advise how good or otherwise PS2's are / were in the snow?  I'm assuming PS3's will be similar.  I know they are not going to be as good as a proper winter tyre but I'm really torn between getting winter tyres or getting the PS3's.  The Falken FK452's I have just now were no where near as good (relatively speaking) as the Dunlop shytemaxx's I had the previous winter  :ashamed:  Yes, something they were IMO reasonably good at.

The michelin snowtyres, even with the 20% off, are still an eyewatering price.  Sub £100 PS3's is an offer thats maybe too good to miss (17's).

whilst not by any stretch of the imagination the tyres raison'detre , my PS2's got me into Manchester last winter on the day when everyone else was stuck or just didnt bother. supreme tyres. if you cant buy both Id suggest road tyres are a better option.
of note Ive just moved to PS3's but cant report how they are in the snow yet
