My local VW dealer has just sent me a fixed price servicing booklet, covers alsorts, MOT's, brakes etc...

.......think they have finally realised people won't pay there stupied prices & there now trying to keep work rarther than it go to indi garages.

Be a bit wary though generally as VW dealers have been displaying free standing green price boards in showrooms listing what I would call 'reasonable fixed rates' only to be told ......'oh that only applies to cars over 3 years old..'

And the very real downside of these 'cheap' services from VW garages is that they put crap non-LongLife oils in the engine.

You pays your money, you takes your choice - and I've never found a VW garage that will offer these 'cheap' or 'price match' services AND use the correct LL oil.
