17” wheels with 18” tires.
Strange choice.

Hmmmm . . .

"i could be really proud of from an engineering point of view" - fairy nuff . . . .

"Airbags removed" - which would make it uninsurable

"has both sunroof AND climate control - one of the reasons i bought the car in the 1st place" - I used to have a 1999 Vauxhall Astra like that - may I could have sold him my old hack!

"the sills are a little crushed in the usual place from speedbumps and poor jacking" - that sounds something to be proud of . . .  :fighting:

"front splitter is in quite a few pieces and is cable tied back together" - what engineering manual details that method?  :fighting2:

"I have got an central locking problem" - surely one of the easiest things to fix! :indifferent:

"up and down the country racing literally anything i can goade into trying" - sounds like a mature, sensible driver - NOT. :stupid:

Do you think if I offer him £25 in redundant Woolworths vouchers, he'll consider it?

Seen worse.. This is one of Regals's creations, I remember reading the build thread a while back.
As Sean has said, to put... "i have done 2.5k miles in the car and it hasnt missed a beat, ive been to germany and back and up and down the country racing literally anything i can goade into trying... and i havent been beaten yet"  is not ideal advert material..  :stupid:
Needs to change the back lights too IMO..

Why must he be having a laugh? Least he lists the bad points unlike most people that sell their cars! Its Regal's son's car and has been built properly, yeah its not brilliant having damaged sills etc but that was from before when it was so low.  He's not built it with the idea in mind to please everyone with how it looks, its been built purely for one reason - power!

Suppose even that can't please most people on this forum lol

engineering master piece, marketing nightmare.

gotta say though I like it. Could do with a different bonnet but from a neutral viewpoint how is this car any different from the time and money Hurdy spent on his MK5 monster? Gotta love the haters!

difference between Hurdys and this are the reason he describes as bad points

the sills are a little crushed in the usual place from speedbumps and poor jacking. the front bumper where the badge recess has been smoothed out isnt great, the front splitter is in quite a few pieces and is cable tied back together

other than that i just want to make everyone aware that the turrets have been raised in this car, which has passed MOT inspection with no problem and are double seamed and fully undersealed.

I have got an central locking problem at the moment that i am working to fix, but the price reflects that. the car shuts fine on the key and is fully immobilised when locked... just the central locking doesnt work so you have to lock the passenger door by hand.

i have done 2.5k miles in the car and it hasnt missed a beat, ive been to germany and back and up and down the country racing literally anything i can goade into trying... and i havent been beaten yet

Wouuld yous buy it for that asking price

^^^^^

He wants a grand less than I asked for mine!!! :surprised:

With all those faults he has no chance of getting that kind of money.

Its worth no more than what the car would be in standard form... if not less!!

same goes for most modified cars unfortunately, doesn't stop us all throwing cash at ours though does it...

fair play to the lad, it doesn't look great but I bet he doesn't care when you have that much power under the bonnet  :driver:
