hello all, as above i want to no what head unit is fitted into my golf

that looks like a fake RNS510.......... but I guess you might have figured that out :wink:

yep its a heep of junk, who ever had the car before me put all sorts of modifications like parking sensers, hids, head unit and they are all crap so am just in the process of trying to return everything to oen or decent aftermarket stuff :)
but cheers for identifying it for me :)

cheers guys, i no its a fake, the sat nav was crap when it worked, now it does work atall, the cd/dvd player doesnt work, and the sound quality is sh*te lol

If you want to maintain the look then you should be able to pick up an RNS510 for around £500 or below if your lucky, or RCD510 which doesnt have the NAV for £300-350 ish the 2nd generation stereos arent great (as would have been originally fitted) but you can pick them up for £100 and the best one would be the MP3 compatible version (has MP3 written above CD drive)

no i dont want the origainal look, im going aftermarket with the head unit and speakers when i get round to spending/saving up the money to do it :)
