Title: Rear PDC problem
Post by: gaz b on November 10, 2010, 09:18:51 pm
Hi folks,
I know its a long shot, but since washing the car on Sunday my rear PDC has stopped working.  :fighting:

When I put the car into reverse I get a long beep instead of the short one and the sensors just don't work. I know that the sensors 'see' water as an obsticle but surely it would have dried off by now?

Any ideas?  :ashamed:

i always thought that the sensors worked by vibration, maybe theres abit muck or crap in between the sensor and bodywork

I will just have to bear it until I can get the car back into VW for a check.

In the meantime heres hoping they sort themselves out!

VCDS Scan will tell you which sensor is U/S.
