Title: OEM prices needed
Post by: xxx_mojo_xxx on November 12, 2010, 07:00:26 pm
Considering a clear out of the garage of some of the bits upgraded on my GTI.

Have no idea of how much some of this stuff is worth but I thought it would be reasonable to offer these 50% off the OEM price on eBay or here on the forum.  I guess if someone was considering putting their car to stock they might be useful, or upgrading from a non-GTI.

This is where I could do with some help.  How much would the following items cost from VW?  The prices don't have to be exact.

- Complete suspension, i.e. shocks, springs.
- OEM ARBs
- OEM intercooler
- Complete  exhaust
- Front Wishbones
- Rear light cluster

Thanks in advance.

So you have decided to sell bits off your car. And you would like us to work out your prices for you.  Why not go the whole hog and ask everyone to work out postage for you as well.

And you are living on the moon if you think anyone will pay half of VW's price for the suspension and exhaust.   You might get 150- 200 squid for the suspension, I reckon VW's price will be well over a grand.  :driver:

A constructive reply here  Why not keep the bits until you eventually get rid of the car then return to stock, the aftermarket bit will definately be worth at least half the price they cost meaning a much better return and a car thats potentially easier to sell on.

I had the LED clusters for my car, and when I tried to sell my old set I was only offered about £30 for the lot, so decided to keep them in the loft.
Springs I was offered about £30 for. Decided to keep it all, (as said above) and throw it all back on when selling the car, as the parts are worth more on their own than on the car.
