After several weeks of hunting finally picked up the wifes new car.
'07 Ed30, 3dr manual in steel grey.
bits include.......
priveee glass
Centre armrest
ipod prep in the above
& xenons
have since found & not sure if extras............
tyre monitor thingy
folding mirrors
puddle lights
Other than 2 stone chips on the bonnet, its like new.
The wheels are un-marked & the spare has never been out. Boot looks like it has had nothing put in it.
Wifey is over the moon with it & after 70 odd miles this afternoon getting it home, I can now see what all the fuss is about.....its an awesome little car which we will enjoy having in the garage for many years to come, that I am sure.
Some guidance on the ipod useage would be appreciated (yes I know i should RTFI).
Is there any other bits or gadgets I should look out for which I may be missing/not found yet?
Weather permitting major detail next weekend wheels off, clay everthing & the full Megs G220 workout on the paintwork.
In the coming weeks, I am hoping to add cruise, p/sensors (lov or hate em...I like em) phone prep & poss h/line and mfsw.
Alot to add, but finding the right spec has been very hard......at the right dosh of course.

....
Well done, pitch. The Mk5's are one of those cars which the manufacturer got absolutely right.
Now, you'de be wise not to visit this forum too often because you could get tempted onto the slippery slope of modding

Your misses is a lucky lady. :drinking:
See VRSTU for most of those mods you have planned. :happy2:
-
ohh...sounds like you have got a lovely car there, i want to see about retrofitting the folding mirrors, certainly a rare thing
-
Cheers chaps...
I managed to prise it off her for the day & its gorg.......
The power delivery is propper & the rate its pulls to the red (in first & second only) is fantastic.
Pottering to Norwich early this morning in the traffic at 40-50ish its so happy and smooth, although need to fit cruise badly, that I have missed today.

I had a hire car with cruise control fitted and my word was it fantastic. Let go of the wheel a coupla times and it felt like the car was driving itself.
Can be retrofitted for something like £150 but there's a guy on here who'll do it for £100. As soon I remember/find out who it is, he's gonna get a PM from me.

I have cruise on my S-Line A4 which is coming upto 3 years of use & one of the best options I spec'd when ordered.
I hopefully will be using the Ed30 at least once a week (If the wife will let me have it) & its a must.

Sounds very familiar, did you buy it of a guy called Jonny?

:happy2: You got a bargain mate, i spoke to him first thing Monday and it was mine for a few minutes...
until maybe you rang hehe
Glad it went to a forum member

I saw it on the Sunday & emailed him.
There was not a great deal of spec info on the car but I clocked the xenons, which was a big want, & it has other nice bits as well.
Spoke early on the Monday done the deal to get some money off & gave him a deposit.
Busy week last week & Jonny was away the following weekend so had the night in Leeds & viewed & purchased this Monday.
Its a peach of a car & in exceptionally good looked after condition.
Took me 3months of hunting & just had an inkling this was the one, so acted PDQ.
Thanks for the comments Rob.
