You know it makes sense......
-
Mike If you book this and see that the weather is going to be crap 3 or 4 days out, can you cancel and get a refund. :happy2:
-
You can't get a refund, but you can sell your place or use it as credit towards another day instead. There's miles of run off on grass, so it's decent place to do even if it is raining.
So, man up! Last time I did Donny it was snowing and absolutely hilarious. Think cmdfire and Deako were on that day too, I'd just got my MK5 and rocked round on standard brakes, it was that cold they lasted all day!!!
P.S. you should sell me those Dunlops....
-
The dunlops need to stay on a Golf not some french thing :P
I am 90% on for this, will confirm/book tomorrow :happy2:
-
You've really caught the track day bug Steve!!! :happy2:
but be careful at Donny tho...overhead flight path for East Midlands Airport means the first corner at Redgate and then Craners is rather slippery at this time of year!
You will enjoy yourself tho that I can guarantee.
-
Rubbish Steve, they'd look great on a Clio! Just the right size too.... :P
Get it booked then.
-
was thinking about this myself , as it is down the road from me. you can not predict the weather at the mo.
-
Weather, schmether!
On a serious note, you learn more about your car and ability on a wet track day than you'll ever on a dry. It doesn't rain inside cars either...
-
Looks like ideal learning weather - http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2242? :signLOL:
-
I've already packed snowchains and a big slice of 'man the f*** up' pie!!!
-
How come your name is not on the list on the circuit days website as an attendee?
-
Ah, it never updates properly. Could also be to do with me booking on the phone, rather than online.
-
Your gonna need balls like buster gonad, to take a nice car on track in those condition's. I would be scared stiff of getting taken out by a loon. :driver:
-
donny days are normally very good with not many if any idiots
-
Bah! Cancelled...
Oh well, booked onto Spa in Oct instead.
-
nice one mikey have a good thrash at Spa. Is the Bora of Win going too??
-
I'm 99% sure they will, we talked about it the other day in terms of combining a Ring trip into it. Fancy it?
-
hang on...you booked up of Spa on October 2011 already!!!!! lol
be well up for the Spa/Ring combo depending on dates. But October is normally good for me. :happy2:
-
Mate's rates! Drop Tabs a line and he'll get you a code, it's a closed day at the moment - so no douchebags.
-
okies.

-
Yeah I was booked onto this, glad it got cancelled in the end, didnt fancy skating around the track !
I have a spa credit with circuit days, I was booked to go at the start of the year, when the track collapsed ! I will be going next year, Nakes sense to go to the ring at the same time, its just down the road, well allmost.
-
spa tempting I intend to have a new car for this though - my DSG days maybe numbered.. (at least on a track anyway!) :santa:
-
.
Me and John Hurdy did a track day at Spa last October (2009) and it was very wet but dare I say that I enjoyed it more than the Touristfahrt at Nurburgring the day before.
Circuit Days usually have instructors on hand.
-
Do it Ben.
Driving the Bora on track was what made me decide the DSGs days were numbered, not that it was bad on track, just a little un-involving.
