Title: One to watch - When Playboys Ruled the World
Post by: Hedge on November 16, 2010, 07:43:11 pm
It was on last night at 10:35 and I missed it but it is available on ITV Player for the next 6 days.

It revolves around James Hunt and Barry Sheene's World title bids in the 70's.  :notworthy:

....Indeed they were! My era. I once had lunch with Barry and Stephanie (through a mutual friend of Stephanie) and a close friend used to supply James Hunt. Barry was the sparkling guy you'd expect but Stephanie, though stunning and sultry, was frankly a bit dull.

Great TV prog  :notworthy:

"Those were the days"  When the paying punter could walk through the pits and talk to these guys! I remember seeing Sheene at Brands once, walking on crutches and with two black eyes, he got lifted onto his bike to race (and won.) Legend.  :notworthy:

"Stephanie, though stunning and sultry, was frankly a bit dull."  Agreed, and she did nothing to prove otherwise on that programme. :indifferent:

Great TV prog  :notworthy: Seconded
