Hey folks,
I am stripping the door cards from the front and rear at the weekend to replace the entire interior seating (might leave the front doorcards out for now depends on time).
Anyway, if I just do the rears, as they are a pain if the seats were in, as they will be out it should be easier.
Would ANY 6.5" Component set (just a 6.5" speaker and a tweeter) and some VW wire adaptors (to convert the OEM speaker connector to spades) work ok?
I am no show-car audio lover, but even something like these would be better than the stock VW speakers.

I can then do the fronts at a later date... But this is just to sort the rear ones out.
Am I correct? As if so, i'll be buying a set to do.
Thanks in advance guys,
Sean
PS> It may not be those exact speakers, as I might just go to Halfords (I know!) and see what they have on offer.

The only ones that fit are Rainbow ones. The rest will need baffles. I would look at 3-way components.

If you are doing just the rears then I would use coaxials not components.
At a later date then look to change the fronts for 2/3 way components. :happy2:
