I had a rattle coming from the centre vent area. I found this guide on the web.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg210.imageshack.us%2Fimg210%2F412%2Fdsc030437tg.jpg&hash=4012cd11312bb4227d78615563c006b314746095)
And stated to sort it out once and for all. I had got to step 3 and started to remove the indicated screw. I was using a magnetic torx bit holder, and started with the wrong bit, so pulled the bit back out...............
Imagine my surprise to find 2 bits on the magnetic holder, there was a T20 bit stuck to the outside.!! So when the dealer sorted out my radio last year, he left a torx bit in the dash!
So one bit up, and no rattle = Happy! :happy2: :happy2:
