Title: Engine Coolant
Post by: Blake-R on November 23, 2010, 10:56:50 am
Chaps, i have never had to do this so don't know  :ashamed:. My engine coolant light has come on, so i checked this out and it's running pretty low! I know that this is just a mixture of anti freeze and water, but just wondering if you guys buy this already mixed or mix it yourself?. Also how do you work out how much you need ratio wise?.

Cheers

when you buy the anti freeze make sure you buy  the correct item,it should be g12..if you haven't got a  ANTI FREEZE  (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=glycol+tester&tag=googhydr-21&index=diy&hvadid=5998699453&ref=pd_sl_4eqlhlg6zm_b) pop to your local garage who will test it for you

It's only around 6.00 quid from the dealers. Got mine from them.
