Hi there,
By way of intro I have had an Edition 30 now for 6 months and just done Superchips stage 1 and very happy. Only downside is a slipping clutch which is being addressed a week on Monday with a new DMF, coverplate and Sachs Orgainic Clutch.
Interested in your views on this set-up as it seems to be the cause of much debate as to whether the DMF will stand up to 300 BHP and associated torque.
BTW I don't seem to be able to reply to a for sale thread as the button is not there. Is this because I am a new member?
Thanks,
csman

Welcome to the site :) i think you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can reply on there
Get some pictures up of your car

Thanks, I will try and get some pic on in the next day or two showing my very first mod!
-
Hi and welcome. As above, pics are mandatory!
I think the problem with SMF is the perceived noisey chatter and vibrations.
-
Hopefully worked out how to get pics on. Here's the rear view showing my first mod which was a matt black wrap of the rear valance. I saw this on another edition 30 (painted in gloss) and thought it made the edition 30 a bit more sporty looking than colour coded approach and easily reverseable.
What do you think?

And the beasty post bluefin superchips being run as Surrey Rolling Road. 303BHP and 300 ft lb torque around 3000 RPM.

Hi and welcome really like the wrap looks good :happy2:

Thanks

Nice eddy, liking the idea of the wrap :happy2:

Was a relatively low cost reverseable mod (quoted between £60-100 and I paid around £70)
This is the other ride used mainly at the weekend (997 C4S Cab). The coupe in the background was also mine and this pic was the day I traded it in for the cab!

Ha! The way I figure it if I owe the bank £5K it's my problem, if I owe them £5m it's their problem!
Mk5 holds its own against Porsche though
