Evening chaps,
I've searched the forum but no posts seem to answer my q.
Are there any genuine vw seat covers available for the gti front seats? I've noticed the drivers seat bolster is starting to wear on my gti & it's bugging the hell outta me! I don't want a sloppy cover, it needs to be contoured to the seat
I've seen how these bolsters wear on other mk5 gti's - not great. They had this prob on the mk1's!
I'm considering resorting to gorilla taping the bolster to avoids further wear, yes I know I'm a sad fool but my ocd knows no bounds :ashamed:
help pretty pls

Iv seen them on ebay from time to time, for about £100-£150.
Just gotta be in the right place at the right time. If its only the bolster Im sure any decent trimmer could re do it :happy2:

What about the airbags?
-
the ones i bought above have velcro fitted to let the airbag deploy

It's just "starting" to wear so does not warrant a repair yet, the edge has gone fluffy & thin so now's the time to act & avoid a break through ;-(
They could have used a tougher wearing material, maybe cheese? :P
As long as the steering wheel bags available to protect my swede I'll take the risk but good point made
Thanks for the links fella, will take a look

Vaseline maybe?

I you need some seat covers then these will be hard to beat, I have some from this company and they are still going strong after 5 years

They cater for most seat designs and will probably make you a bespoke cover if needed.
