Title: Torque Android App
Post by: mdavis on December 01, 2010, 11:54:24 am
First of all, apologies if this has already been discussed/posted, a quick search returned no results.

I was browsing android apps and came across one called Torque (http://www.appbrain.com/app/torque/org.prowl.torque) which appears to communicate with the ECU of your car so as you can view statistics and error messages. You need to purchase an extra part (http://www.amazon.com/BLUETOOTH-DIAGNOSTIC-SCANNER-VAG-COM-SCANTOOL/dp/B003MQ89X4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) (I assume to plug into the ECU so as the two can communicate) but its got me curious.

Has anyone tried using this application? Does it work how I think it works? I'm not thinking of buying the app and extra part as I will probably do more harm than good. Just curious as to whether people have heard of it, used it or if it will even work?
