Your post in a readable format:
Hello.
Can any one help? I have a problem with my passenger door. It keeps dropping down. I have had VW sort it out twice. Each time, they just bend the door to fit. Now they have said that they will give me a new car - 07 or 08 plate, not brand new but possibly an ED30 with 54,000 miles on the clock. That is more mileage than on my stock GTI.
I would like to know if any one has had the same problem with doors.
Any information would help.
Thank you

Seems very strange, doesn't it?
To the OP: Did you recently purchase this car?
-
they are going to change my car because i have complained on 10 occasions. My car has been in the vw body shop 2 times for passenger door, 1 time for drivers door and 2 times to repare the damage caused in repairing the doors and to re spray the roof as got damaged at bodyshop now the door has droped again so they are going to replace my car, plus the motor in the head lights packed up and the mp3 player wont accept cd's.
-
i got the car in sep
-
Sounds like it came with 6 months warranty, and given you have had so many issues (quite surprised you kept the car after 3 issues!), they've offered you a replacement.
Honestly? I'd consider a replacement car.
How much mileage is on your current car?
-
Doesn't sound like your car is up to much, I would certainly consider a replacement but dont necessarily take the first thing they offer I would make sure its at least of equivalent value as when you bought the first one.
-
my car is an o7 with 22000 on the clock cost me 14000 of main dealer
-
id swap as if youv had this many problems already then i rekon this is a bad egg :signLOL: but they will try fob you off with a cheaper motor but you want a like for like or if its for a edition 30 then that will probley mean more miles or less spec as they are worth a couple of grand more its down to you what car they offer you.
-
thay have offerd me one with more spec satnav sun roof but 22000 more miles and its 5 door
-
You could, in theory, reject the car and demand a refund - not fit for purpose, plus so many problems requiring recitification means they've had more than enough chances to put things right.
-
i know but the ed30 is a nice car and will see if i can do a deal on the extra miles just not sure on 5 doors
-
A refund of £14k would probably find you an Ed30 exactly how you want it as prices have dropped over the past year.
Shop around for cars online before commiting to anything as you might find something better for the money than they're offering
