Title: Maybe a silly question??

Should the knob on the right hand side of the rns-510 do anything.  Mine seems to have no function and as much as i love the touch screen, i think this knob would be perfect for scrolling through songs and selecting them when the car is on the move?  Is there anyway of selecting this and is the functionless control the same for all you guys with the same setup?

Mine works as a track or radio frequency selector IIRC  :smiley:

I use mine for zooming in and out of the map when I've not set it to autozoom.
Haven't yet tried using to scroll through the manual radio tuner, that's quite nice.

Been playing and mine does in fact do all the above.

Wish you could use it to scroll through artists, albums and tracks etc.  Our cooper s has the bmw idrive type navigation and it makes it so easy to scroll through the music with the toggle when on the move.

By buying this unit i have given myself a real issue when i replace the car.  I dont think i will ever find such a complete system again, its such a fantastic piece of kit, especially with the speed camera's :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: I feel lost driving other cars, i love knowing where all the government cash making machines are :smiley:
