I like those. I think they would suit GTIs of all colours, but then I have bit of a tipple for Porsche wheels  :jumpmove:

^ Not sure mate. I'm on the trawl for a second set of wheels myself as it happens and I found a lot of the new polished 997 Carrera 4 reps (pictured below) on the net (particularly on eBay) but not the 997 style that you're looking for. I'm sure you could dig around the net to find a rep supplier. I was looking for genuine split/multi spoke rim stuff so only came across them indirectly :happy2:

yeah they're the ones, would love a set, think they look awesome!

As for the others, they look good too but not as good as the 997, if anyone comes across anywhere that sells them, let me know please....

Youll have to consider that the rear wheel is 10J... you might stuggle to get them to fit correctly!

That man by the name of Rich who's handy with a camera is dead right Daz  :rolleye: You'll do well to accommodate 10J wheels on any MK5, so id forget them and look at the second set.

The second linked set look gorgeous, very like my audi splits that ive got on at the moment

The second set have the same size tyres so they're probably the same size wheel, as well.

all sounds a bit complicated to me, I'd love them but don't want to be messin about to that extent, not been able to find any reps either, as they'd be an alternative for direct fitment and width issues.

You got the 18 or 19 inch audi splits?

Thanks

Mine are 18x7.5J Daz solely so the ride is still good, so I manage tyre costs and so I get no rubbing with the AP springs. If I'm honest any split mesh rims look a lot better in 19" size than 18". That'd be my pointer from a cosmetic point of view matey anyway, particularly on the Mk5.

thanks pal, send me a pic of your car if you get chance to daz5182@gmail.com

Just so that i can have a look, I don't want any rubbing at all and want it to stay comfortable.

^ Might wanna break your email up with a space so the spambots don't get you

Pics of mine are here fella http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,15910.45.html
Have you considered some Cayman or Boxster wheels in 18"/19"?

I flirted with the idea of some Cayman S multi-spokes but couldn't find any at the right price when I looked. You may have the advantage of all the Xmas items on eBay and similar at the moment.
