No, some are more worn than others, depending on usage :grin:

All front brake pads for the GTI are the same, doesn't chage with age.
R32 pads are almost identical except they have the locating springs on both sides (per caliper) vs the GTI which has one pad with a spring and one pad with a flat back.

I have to correct you, GTI and R32 are not the same, here's a picture i've taken of both
