Title: Will S3 camshaftsmake any difference?
Post by: mlr55 on December 07, 2010, 07:50:33 pm
Changing the HPFP to Autotech internals, need new cams aswell, will the S3 cams make any difference, I read about people having them but no word on whether they are worth it, or cause any problems?? Car is a normal GTI 55reg with a remap.

Any help would be great!

Really not worth the hassle or expense.

I have them ('cause of the cam follower issue  :fighting:) The engine, apart from forge catch can it's completely stock.
Don't know what the real changes are.. but the car does seem to pull better on higher revs.
Will do a dyno in spring to see if something's changed (I dyno'd before the change)

Well its in need of a new intake cam because of the hpfp follower issue so might aswell upgrade even if it is only a minor one, and off the top of my head they cost the same as the gti one anyway.
