Title: Windscreen Washers Dead
Post by: otto-mate on December 11, 2010, 05:00:54 pm
Hi All

Washers are dead - anyone know which fuse to look at off hand?  Anything else I should be checking?

Thanks

M.

They have a thermal cut out if washers freeze up etc which blows fuse can't remember number but is in dash panel both
Row 20a (yellow fuse) will check no in morning

Aaron - many thanks for that info (sorry for late reply).  Bad snow over here over Xmas and Mrs hardly took the car out.  I drove it yesterday and as soon as it drove out of the garage the washers were working!  Total mystery.

Happy New Year to all.

It's no mystery, almost every car in the country has suffered the same.

Yup. My rear wiper stopped working last week. Didn't work for 3 days. Took the fuse out for a few seconds, put it back in again and it now works fine, :-)

Anyone know which fuse I should be checking as my headlight washers do not, nor have ever worked, the small part does not come out of the bumper?

The same thing has happened to my car over the recent cold snap, windscreen washers were working fine but the headlight washers were not. Checked Fuse 36 and it had blown, changed it and the headlight washers now work perfectly.
