Can you guys access amazon.co.uk?
Assuming it's not just me. Page times out and never loads. Is this perhaps related to the W-leak stuff that's been in the press lately?
I don't get a ping back from amazon.co.uk either, so it seems truly offline.
Amazon.com works but as far as I know that won't let me sign in with a UK account? May be wrong.
Typical that I did all my Christmas shopping on Amazon and nowhere else
-
yeah amazon.co.uk not responding.
-
Hmm, cheers Rich. Glad it's a global problem in that sense.
Been about an hour now since trying. Maintenance or an attack? I know the leaks guys were threatening a few e-brands that included amazon, paypal etc...
-
Strange as I was just tracking an order on there not 20 mins ago and all was good!

Maybe a cache thing if you were already signed in + active etc Nath?
Can you access it from fresh now?

tracerouted from my company looking glass, seems that its possible to reach the amazon gateway in Ireland so seems to be a server issue so I suppose it could be a DDOS type attack, but with the size of the amazon infrastructure (S3) I would be incredibly suprised if someone would be able to manage to kill it for long!

Nope it's gone now alright!
-
Apparently, it was an attack by wikileaks supporters.
-
No, they took it down as they feared a cyber attack.

and there was me thinking it was the wife who crashed it with the sheer volume of presents she was ordering for me :sad1:

Wishful thinking Andy!
