Very sad.

In 1988, I was on a 4 year long service course, I sent him (at TWR) a letter, asking if I and my course mates could visit, because at potential Air Engineers we could look at the similarities between Motorsport and Aviation.  Composite use etc.

We never did get a look round, but instead received an invite to visit the TWR team on a race day, if we wanted.

I had also organised a trip to Le Mans 24 hour that year, and we managed to meet him and his team in the pits on the Thursday before the race that year, we got a full look round, sit in the cars etc, and lots of team stuff.  Great chap,.

RIP TW.
