Does anyone run a hi flow sports cat with the stock gti cat back system. If so what sort of noise and performance dies it give??
-
yes i hav ran this and the full system. doing it this way means you get ALL of the performance gains, with a nice little increase in the burble. if you were to add the cat back ontop, you get more noise and that is it, negligible performance gains in my experience
-
Does the volume of the stock system go up alot? I love the sound as it now. I'm only getting the sports cat and down pipe so I'm ready for stage2. Has anyone run stage 2 on standard cat back??
-
We have fitted a lot of downpipes onto the stock system lately, works really well. Sounds a bit different but not much really, more so under high rpm.
If you need a downpipe we now have 5 in stock (ordering mistake) and may sell them off at a good price if we can get orders for all 5 off here.

Hmmm discount price...talk to me!

as said in my first reply, yes i have ran it like that and with the full system. I for one would never buy the cat back again as it made a stealthy car too loud and it was blatantly obvious when i was speeding

Anyone got or heard of pipewerx????
-
Yup, that's what I have as a DP - great quality! I think janner-sy had that one too.
-
that i did
-
whats the noise increase???
-
Theres not a large noise increase in all honesty. yhowever the exhaust note did change alot. It became alot throatier and deeper than the stock noise.
My next car will only be getting a downpipe this time, and not the TBE as it did everything i wanted. gave the perfromane gains and made the car sound better without shouting chav. The full TBE sounded ace on track, but it was to much for day to day driving for me.
