Title: Rear tyre wear

I have replaced the rear tyres on my golf due to uneven tyre wear, outside and centre 3mm inner 0mm on both tyres they were Dunlops.Can anyone give me an answer as to why they should wear like that as i dont want the new tyres to have the same problem

What tyre pressures have you been running?

Are they Dunlop Sport Maxx?

Tyre pressure not sure did not check and yes they were Dunlop Sport Maxx

I have not had tracking checked i have just had tyres fitted today

I had the same issue with my dunlops, centre and outer was fine but the insides were worn away.  Had the alignment checked and it was perfect.  No issues with a different brand of tyre and if you search on here there are many stories of uneven / strange wear with the shytemax tyres.

i had this problem but with conti 2's i believe its got something to do with the camber? i could be wrong  :signLOL:

Yep, I had exactly the same problems with the Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres that came on my car. I've since ran Vredestein Ultra Sessantas and Michelin PS3s with no issue whatsoever. I think it just that tyre, which I found poor anyway.
