Title: Paint bubbling and slightly raised ( flat bit above reg plate) ** PICS ADDED **
Post by: ruffrydaz on December 25, 2010, 02:43:03 pm
I just got my golf and realised that there is a 2 inch long line that is kind of raised. I think its cracking or bubbling or something. Its small but there nonetheless
Its on the flat bit between the bootlid and above the reg plate
Ill get some pics up later
Is this covered by the 12 year warrenty?
Can i remove it or just prevent it getting worse?
Any advice appreciated thanks

Btw i saw my friends gt tdi who has all the paint cracking on the same bit.. Is this common..
If you follow the boot down its the horizontal bit above the reg plate

So im guessing its the bit on the top of the bumper. Rather than on the hatch? If it is it maybe covered by the paint warrenty depending how old your car is otherwise it won't be as its painted plastic.

Its often caused by the paint cracking if someone has nudged your bumper or you have hit something or simply paint reaction.

thanks for the reply
Yeah the bit on the top bumper.. Yeah it seems like it was under pressure or something
No one has hit it (or that i know of) and there is no other damage.. it has full vw service its a 54 plate 83k
What do you think?
