Matt
-
when the clutch goes pros get a sachs or some thing like it
-
.
A new PogoAlert+ to replace my PogoAlert. It's compatible with Macs, at last! No more relying on a friend.
-
Sadly a 12month tax disc and a full service next month! :sad1:
In the mean time I have a new air freshener and some rubber mats. Maximum excitement. :popcornsoda:
-
wheels, Eibach sportlines and maybe even a Twintake. See what the pay packet (and wife) says!
-
New side skirts, sitting painted in workshop. I've been unable to get there to get them fitted thanks to snow, work commitments and Christmas hassles. First week January the abt sides come off and the R32/ed30 oem sides go on :drinking:
Next I'm thinking off ripping off the milly quads and replacing with something a little more subtle. Need a new rear valance, paint and a zorst so this phase doesn't come cheap :sad1:
Unless a tr r32 rear comes up for sale and a suitable quad insert for the oem bumper that is (some hope).

I've just had a downpipe and Twintake fitted

Not really sure what to do next
-
Helix paddle along with the smf and a larger rear arb for the s3 is my plans....not sure about the wotbox yet.
-
I want an R32 rear end conversion , some Monza IIs and some Carbon goodies , only then will I think about 'performance' mods. Im in this for the long term , cant see me getting rid of the GTI in the next 5 or 6 years so I have plenty time.

....Just an idea which might be a bit cheaper: Replace just the back box with black satin ceramic coated tips and angle-cut - Like mine. They're less in yer face.

my next mod is quite an expensive one and actually involves buying a car to mod in the first place.
been looking at cars with the new 178hp 1.4 TSI engine in them. very tunable, DSG, 50mpg+ and only £125/year for tax.

Nice motors them :happy2: the seat will be easier to find 2nd hand as its been out longer but my money would be on the skoda
For me im treating myself to one of these http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p87007.htm (http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p87007.htm)
Seems to get good reviews and at reasonanle price of c£400 for bit more noise and grunt :xmaspresent:

i too have been looking at the fabia vRS but in estate guise. 1-it looks better than the hatch, 2-i have a dog. 3-its faster and lighter than the hatch. The wifes friend has one and the she wants one now.
Ive heard 250hp is a pretty solid bet, reckon 270hp could be a bit wishful though. still 250hp in a 1230kg car would be very quick.
theres a ibiza cupra 1.4TSI on SCN that has managed a 13.4sec 1/4 mile with his @ 220hp with the interior stripped out. that impressive for a 1.4

Just been reading on SCN and it doesnt seem to be a very reliable engine and VW may pull the plug on it so maybe not :scared:
-
cant see them pulling the plug.
Also if its that unreliable, why would it win best international engine every year since 2005

Dunno mate but there would seem to a fair few thats not seen there cars for months (dealers) and others needing new engines.
Probably just scare mongering but you might one a keep an eye on that front :happy2:
Back on topic :ashamed:
Some new front tyres will be the first mod if you can call it that.
-
New exhaust, Votex front splitter, leather recaro retrim, show roof rack, summer wheels, remap, carbon fibre parts for inside.
(In that order I hope, sorry that it's not just one item, im greedy!)

Not a bad suggestion there....I was pretty set on going back to twin (actually even just oem zorst) as modding for increased bhp is not really what I'm after. It is a big expense though with ed30/r32 rears flying off the shelves at over £200 (even second hand), then paint (£150) then if I keep quads and have the r32 rear a suitable 4 outlet insert.
I'm probably better just getting an oem rear valance and zorst and painting the insert black. Cheapest option, plus I may be able to sell off my quad milltek and recoup some costs. Decisions decisions :-)
-
^^^^
I assume you already know that the oem R32 rear has cut-outs which allow for all the exhaust configurations: twin, quad, central. You'd just need the appropriate exhaust trim (lower section).

ebc grooved discs, new pads and fluid, braded hoses, drop it another 15mm (when snow goes and weather starts getting better) wheel refurb, milltek + decat,

Yeps but when last I looked the exhaust trim options were limited to carbon fibre and as a result quite expensive or are there cheaper versions now available?
I do remember someone on here was selling a cf trim for the quads a good while back but I've completely forgotten who.

No mods for the Lexus, but the RS3 will be going straight to REVO stage 2 as soon as I get my grubby hands on it. That is....
Intercooler
Stainless exhaust (may wait off on this if I can get hold of a rear bumper that will aloow a dual exit exhaust)
Intake
REVO.
Should give up well over 400 horsies :driver: :jumping:
