My old pressure washer just packed in, just gone give car quick clean now temperature above minus first time weeks totally dead, left it in shed and ice must got to it, needed new one anyway, with so many karcher models which one should i go for? i also want snow foam karcher attachment how much do these cost??

Any reason why it has to be a Karcher? The Nilfisk ones are much better according to those in the know.
-
Nilfisk is meant to be better in terms of build quality and durability. Supposedly there was a spate of Karchers where there was a pump failure or some other problem within the 12-month period.
Look at c110 and c120 models.
If comparing products, look at flow rate and not pressure.
-
Perfect timing this thread. Can you attach snow foams to the nilFisk PW? Looked on auto perfection and couldn't see the right attachment...
-
Off the top of my head I think it's the "Alto" fitment? Worth asking them.
-
Thanks boys i will take a look at nilfisk models :happy2: if thay are the better choice!!!!! I always thought Karcher pressure washers was ment be good what do i know.
-
I have had my Karcher for a good 15 years and it would be where my money went again.
Can't really argue with something that has lasted quite so well.
-
Had mine about 4 or 5 years, too. I have a K6.85M
-
had my karcher 10 years now..a company who looks after the works steam cleaner is a agent for them to

I did a lot of research into washers when I bought mine in the summer. There seemed to be a glut of poor reviews of modern Karchers. A lot of failures of models at the price point that I was looking at. There were also a deal of complaints about poor parts availability & very high repair costs. I simply googled & followed the links to various review sites.
Now I agree with the policy of discounting the best & worst review, but the picture I was getting aint pretty. In the end, i went for http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nilfisk-Accessory-Pressure-Washer-1700W/dp/B003M8H6U4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1283445073&sr=1-2 and it's cheaper now than when I got it
Keith at wash shop sorted an excellent foam lance for me and I can't fault either. I'd highly recommend a Nilfisk. Feel free to pm me if you have more questions about it :happy2:

I think i will go for Nilfisk model thanks for advise lads  sounds to me like newer Karcher models have many problems with them, does anybody know where i can get foam attachment for Nilfisk? how much thay cost?
-
Pm Keith. He'll sort you out

Hiya
I thought i would stick my 'tuppence worth' in
I think the karcher are good as long as you have a high end one
poss with a metal pump
As for the Nilfisk it has a metal pump,(had one for 5-6yrs )no problem so far
and as for the foam lance I changed the brass fitting on the lance with a alto on
(bought from Polished bliss Cheers Rich!!) a bit of ptfe thread tape and 'bobs your uncle'

As said, a Karcher with a metal pump is the one to have if going for a Karcher. I had 2 Karcher pumps pack up within 9 months, I had them replaced without any issue, the third one seems fine but doesn`t get much use. I`d put my money into a decent Nilfisk next time though.
Karcher = krapcher :happy2:

Just bought a Nilfisk c110 thanks to this thread, £45 off amazon. It comes with a foam bottle thing but is it worth getting a snow foam lance from autoperfection..
-
I bought Nilfisk c120 model off amazon just waiting delivery thanks to the advice :congrats: im going to get foam lance next week let you know how get on with it.
-
A proper snow foam lance will produce foam, otherwise it's just a waste of snowfoam (IMO).
