This is known as snow foam. Autobrite do a really good one called Magifoam. It's what I'm using at the moment.

Yeh the nilfisks are getting good reviews. Meg's shampoo plus is good, hyper wash as well. I am considering a GB on the lances but need to approach Steve first.

I can vouch for the Nilfisk fitting foam lance from Keith. Chuffed with mine  :happy2:

It makes such a difference in cleaning, especially with all the winter grime that's about. Wouldn't be without mine now.

as said you need a foam lance for great foam.  I've sampled a few including autobrite but my favourite is http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/super-snow-foam-5-litre/prod_370.html

Only need an inch and then top up with hot water.  Leaves the car in really thick foam that dwells for a good 10 mins.  Add a little multi purpose cleaner to the mix and in this weather all you have left to wash off is a little road film once you've jet washed it off

After the foam and wash off with a mitt, would you apply a wax from the pressure washer rather than mixing in a bucket?

Neither. By hand. This is my bible: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,4823.0.html

???
Are you talking about wash'n'wax products?

Wax should be applied by hand using a foam applicator in thin, overlapping layers, left to cure (5-20 mins typically) and then buffed off using a clean microfibre cloth.

I got a PA foam lance for christmas - http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pa-foam-lance-cat2.html - Still getting use to it but it gets good reviews.

Works really well with Meg's all purpose cleaner - http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/meguiars-all-purpose-cleaner-cat17.html.

Have a got a photo somewhere of the 1st time I used it...

Given that APC can strip the LSP (ie wax or sealant) I avoid using it unless I'm stripping the car down (ie clay, polish, cleanse etc). Snowfoam at the appropriate dilution is more safe.
