Just woundring what oil everyone used? 10w40 im guessing

The best oil is Fully synthetic 5w30. Castrol Edge was specially made for VWs but VW are now using Quantum stuff.

 I stick to Castrol personally but anything with the VW approved rating on (e.g. Mobil 1 5w30 Full Synthetic) is fine.

Whatever oil you use, check it has "VW 504 approved" on there somewhere. If it specifically doesn't state "approved" but states some other crap as "meets VW standards", avoid it.

5W-30, fully synthetic, VW504 approved.

Castrol SLX Powerflow III is what I likes.

Any 5w30 that hits the 504 spec but Shell Helix is stickered on the engine bay.

I got a few bottles when I went to my dealer a while back. They've now switched to Shell Helix.

I use Mobil 1 ESP 5W30 fully synthetic. It's VW 504/507 approved.  :happy2:
